Background
With over ten years of experience in the cleaning industry, Miljan is a true expert in his field. He has worked with everything from home cleaning and deep cleaning to sanitation and floor care. During the pandemic, he was let go by his previous employer, which led him to Hemfrid. A new chapter began, and today, Miljan is an important part of Hemfrid’s One-Time team.
Current Role – Hemfridare One-Time
As a Hemfridare within One-Time, Miljan works with three types of services: move-out cleaning, deep cleaning, and window cleaning.
Move-out cleaning
involves thoroughly cleaning empty homes to ensure they are ready for the next owner or tenant.
Deep cleaning
is an intensive cleaning that goes far beyond regular home cleaning, focusing on refreshing the entire home with special attention to overlooked details.
Window cleaning
is, as Miljan puts it, exactly what it sounds like – making windows shine again.
A Typical Workday
A typical workday for Miljan starts at 8:00. He usually completes between one and three assignments per day, depending on the size of the home, the number of windows (single-sided, double-sided, or divided panes), and how many colleagues are working alongside him. Collaboration is common within Hemfrid’s One-Time team, and Miljan often works with one or two colleagues on his assignments. “It’s fun to work in a team – we help each other out and do a great job together,” he says.
The Best Part of the Role
For Miljan, the greatest satisfaction comes from seeing the results of his work – how something goes from dirty to sparkling clean. “It can be a dirty bathtub, an oven that’s seen better days, or windows you can barely see through. Seeing the difference before and after is truly special.”
It is even more rewarding when the customer is there to see the transformation. “Seeing the customer’s appreciation and joy after a job well done is a real highlight,” Miljan shares.
He also highlights the positive work environment as one of the best parts of working at Hemfrid. “Everyone is kind to each other and understanding. That makes a big difference in everyday life.”
What it Takes to Succeed as a Hemfridare
To thrive and succeed in the role as a Hemfridare, Miljan believes it’s important to be both social and friendly – not just with colleagues but also with customers. “Customer service is a big part of the job, and it’s important always to have a positive attitude and genuinely enjoy what you do.”
