Practical checklist for spring cleaning
Is it time for a comprehensive deep cleaning at home? Here is a practical checklist to help you plan and streamline the work. One tip is to spread the cleaning over a longer time so it doesn’t become overwhelming.
1. Clearing
Before you start the actual cleaning, it's wise to declutter and organize your home. When seasonal clothes are put away and the next wardrobe is brought out, it's an excellent time to declutter and sort.
Inventory. Go through each room and list things you no longer need. Focus on making space for the things that matter to you.
Sort and donate. Sort your clothes and items into three piles: keep, donate, and recycle. Remember that what you no longer need can be a great joy for someone else!
Recycle. Think of the environment when you get rid of things: recycle instead of throwing them in the trash.
Organize. Once you have decluttered, it's time to organize. Having each item in its place makes it easier to keep the home clean and tidy.
2. Planning
A well-thought-out plan is critical to a successful deep cleaning. By breaking the work into smaller parts, you keep your energy up, and you can get energy from ticking off the completed tasks.
Make a schedule. Plan in what order you will clean and when you will clean each room.
Check your cleaning supplies. Ensure you have cleaning agents, cloths, and other equipment at home before starting. Remember that you rarely need potent agents to get it clean - instead, invest in environmentally friendly products that are gentle to the planet and your home. Here, you can find our eco-friendly cleaning products.
Involve the family. Cleaning can be a family project! Distribute suitable tasks to everyone in the family.
3. Cleaning
Now it's time to start the actual cleaning! Check off the list, room by room, and you'll get a sparkling clean home. If you don’t have the time or don’t want to do it yourself? Book a deep cleaning, and we will help you clean your home to the smallest detail.
